We are looking on behalf of one of our clients for an Underwriter.
Duties:
- Respond to customer/broker enquiries and advise on the insurance products and services, create quotes, amendments and issue policies and renewals in accordance with current underwriting guidelines and take payment.
- Answering telephone calls.
- Laise with clients, introducers/intermediaries, claims unit and/or underwriting regarding client`s claim or insurance needs.
- Chase clients and introducers/intermediaries for renewals and make appropriate notes on the underwriting system.
- Ensure that all necessary renewal documentation are issued to clients/intermediaries introducers within the required time frame.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Management or the Core Team.
Requirements:
- Expertise in this field is an advantage but not essential.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Working knowledge of insurance products, procedures, clients and market.
- Willingness to progress toward relevant professional designation (e.g. Cert CII).
- Able to collaborate and meet goals.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Customer focused.
- Competency in digital processes.
