We are looking on behalf of our client for a Project Cost Controller.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to project costs, providing basic analysis and insights.
- Monitor and report cost variances, identifying potential risks and escalating issues as needed.
- Help maintain cost control measures, processes, and reporting structures.
- Review supplier and contractor invoices against contracts and approved budgets.
- Assist in contract reviews and support finance team members in managing project agreements.
- Work closely with the Project Management and Accounting & Finance teams to support cost control processes.
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes by reconciling project costs.
Professional Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in cost control, project finance, or management accounting, preferably within the property development or construction industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting software (Xero), along with solid Excel skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred. Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or relevant experience is an advantage.
